Well I am in the JC. Who would have thought? Not been in here since I was 13. It's an article all about the show, the baths and you get to hear from Papa Alan and the famous Eddie Bloom. Click on the bar mitzvah boy for the article.
This week I am revisiting something I did a while ago. Last year I contributed to the Guadian podcast, Sounds Jewish with a segment about the baths. I went down there with a recorder in a plasic bags and chatted to the boys. Click on the sign above and have a listen. You'll get to hear papa Alan and the rest of the crew talking about the schvitz. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, the schvitz segment starts 18 mins in. Enjoy...I wish you health to listen. #guadi
It must be your lucky week. This week you get not one, but two Schmeiss blogs but two. This was made by Joe Fleming and during the filming I ate not one...not two...but three beigels. I had a chopped herring with pickle, a cream cheese with pickle and the one you can see is the salami (voosht) with pickle. Enjoy.
Rebecca Pitt graphic designer, illustrator and photographer has made a poster for the show. I got to tell you I am kvelling all over them. That means I am bursting with pride....I mean look at that face. You can check out Rebeccas work here. If you want to have a guess at what I'm thinking get in touch. Winner will get a schmeiss. #beigel #poster #bubbleschmeisis #face
Here is the first sight of the man who originally took me to the baths. The man who started it all. A man who despite being nearly blind knows every road in London. Here we are in another one of our favourite places…a salt beef gaf in Hatch End. It will remain nameless until we get our free sandwiches. By the sound of it this may be the last video as he aint happy about it. I was very lucky to get one without him swearing. He does seem excited by the show…ish Having conversat
